RH X3 to X4 error

i have task update rh files after person taken off project. installed x4 when attempt start up, starts x3 , file open gives incompatibility message (all files created in 2003-2004). suggestions? seems work ok other 2 people use it.

welcome forum.

are using same pc , if so, x3 removed first?

was x4 installed using logon , admin rights?

did messages earlier versions being installed?
