How To Install CF 7.02 on Windows 2003 Web Edition

hi,

i'm sure has posted how to, doing quick search here , on google couldn't find wanted share process had go through.

the main reason post let folks know not use cf 7.02 windows installer found on adobe's site. in case installer installs way through tells completed errors. error being couldn't configure iis cf , run "wsconfig" utility manaully. doing doesn't work since actual cf application server service can't , wouldn't start. did quick searching here , on net couldn't find info regarding this, tried re-install 2 times same problems.

in end how got cf mx 7.02 install without errors , work on windows 2003 web edition

1) installed windows 2003 web edtiion , applied high priority , driver updates system date.
2) install original cf mx 7.0 cd
3) made sure iis, test cf page along admin pages accessed server , remote computers
4) installed cf mx 7.01 updater
5) made sure iis, test cf page along admin pages accessed server , remote computers
6 installed cf mx 7.02 updater
7) made sure iis, test cf page along admin pages accessed server , remote computers

i did not apply of cf mx 7.02 hotfixes yet not affect applications running on windows 2000.

basically, use original installer cf 7 , run through update installers , should fine.

hopefully of folks out there thinking bypass tediousness 1 installer file :)

there have been numerous issues installing on windows 2003 due security features built windows 2003. should try installing built in web server first , run connector tool. might want try using silent install. configures built in web server.
