is there way change apppearance of button, color , shape or hints??

i'm guessing referring text button? if so, short answer no. if double-click button object , @ properties, can choose display image button. if this, imagination , image editing skills limit. note may wish use transparent button. if this, can choose shading like.
if talking buttons on question slides, more rigid , don't offer in way of flexibility.
as hints, simple text captions associated button states , actions. applies standard text caption applies there.
