Columns on frontpage without "gaps" between items?? - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi all,

my frontpage consists of 2 columns, showing introductions of articles. looks bit (use imagination  :) ) :

aaaaaa  '  ddd
aaaaaa  '
aaa      '

my question: possible rid of gap between bbb , ccc, , between ddd , eee, result being this:

i realize "graphics" bit crude, hope idea of want. basically, want rid of gaps between articles. have idea if can done, , if so, how??

good gravy man how did figure typing?  know if click on "additional options" in blue below left have option of attaching image of screen shot instead of counting rows , using imagination.

i'd know answer though well.  reason in compnents second item in second column starts @ same line second item in first column if means leaving big space.  out. thanks!
