Thread: No video at all

i installed jaunty on old desktop. desktop running on celeron processor. graphics integrated. problem have no video @ all.

@ first tried install jaunty regular cd got no video though ran fine couldn't see installation menu switch command line. downloaded alternate iso install , ran fine. when installation done cd out ordered , wait login window didn't show after loading. switched console , on right. ideas how video?

what kind of graphics onboard? ...ati? nvidia? intel?

have tried "xfix" option in recovery mode?

try rebooting , when see grub screen, choose recovery mode. when finishes loading...try xfix.
