!
e.g. have read these posts , followed tips:
http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,21023.0.html

safemode off on site, , safemode patch didn't make work better
.
it doesn't work upload , install zip package hd, , doesn't work first ftp-upload host , installing there/administrator/components/com_installer/template/... don't know do...

as try install ftp'ed directory, this:
the directory contains index.php , templatedetails.xml , images , css subdirectory, copied standard theme , modified.
any hints out there? since i'm in quite hurry , desperate situation, i'd appreciate this... i'm kind of impressed joomla (in combination smf), i'm kind of running "race" testing 3 different portal/cms packages our simracing team... not have time waste on issues right now, want work may show team mates stuff before decide package choose - week come
...
isn't there manually work around...? mean, doing manually installation script automagically
