Thread: I have full sound in XP, but not Ubuntu. Not a hardware issue.

so, i've been using ubuntu on computer since 8.04 , had few minor issues. computer dual boot xp , 9.04 . few days ago lost sound. thing unusual happened before that, can think of using flakey usb memory stick (one of crappy toshiba u3 sticks. had tried remove stupid u3 thingo without success. stick in bin ).

have tried earlier kernel boot menu suggested in thread, without success. can boot xp , there no sound issues, not hardware problem. there can type in terminal diagnose problem is?

paste output of lspci , sudo lshw
