Failed install - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

well, removed mambo , went fresh joomla install. went terribly.  received no errors duing process.  however, on first view of site...i see massive nastiness.

apparently, directories didn't transfer over.  got ironed out.  now, place site "offline" error:

warning: main(offline.php): failed open stream: no such file or directory in /home/packetmo/public_html/index.php on line 37

fatal error: main(): failed opening required 'offline.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/packetmo/public_html/index.php on line 37


i'm going assume files didn't transfer, either.
