running mbr sr 3.1 , jaunty 9.04 64-bit (fresh installation)

"out-of-the-box", device seems ok (volume & down), having issues configuration (want set ooo presentation bindings).

lircd.conf file has required line in:

trying set gnome-lirc-properties:
manufacturer: linux input device
model: apple mac mini infrared remote control driver

process of elimination, device seems (& confirmed cat testing):
/dev/input/event6

ir remote control: (tried both ways)
manufacturer: apple
model: a1156

"unlock" button never becomes active (even if running app in sudo), nor commit/save changes.
keeps defaulting none, none, ads tech, usbx-707

"update" button downloads 2,590.5 kib file, crashed following error message:

`irw` not return values.
`ganyremote` confounds me

tried reinstalling & dpkg-reconfigure 'ing gnome-lirc-properties

so, strictly-speaking lirc working, having helluva time config

have advice or me, please?

hi!

advice remove lirc-gnome-properties, since not recognise /dev/input/eventx-devices.

run
