Battery substitute for plug power supply? - Raspberry Pi Forums

hi guys!
want make cheap , nifty laptop (sort of) using raspberry pi. i've managed scavenge small monitor, mouse , keyboard. wanted know if there way of using battery pack of kind power machine can use laptop. power supply small, if can use normal batteries? , if not, else can do? solar power? anyway, thanks.

the mag pijust had article on solar powering pi. it's in issue 7.
