remaking my site

my gallery working years, till tried upload new photos , forgot how. now, have 4 different duplicate folders of everything, images, pages, folders, thumbs, names of paths - ugh!
how make new 1 of old one? is, have start naming new? and, ftp host think have 2 different sites , paying one?
i tried restoring links, damage complicated , confusing want start fresh, has been many years since made it, start define site, , then, if name same site confusing me 1 messed one, , new.
how go starting remake site?
sorry easy question most, techno-moronic.
