here's new usb thread, free of of unpleasant baggage (and unpleasant baggages) of old one. i've been chatting gordon (and meet him in pub, won't see updates here immediately); i've asked him put new updates here.

there reported , reproducible issue usb repeated device acquisition can hang usb system. exemplified libgphoto2 among others 1 command executes subsequent 1 causes system hang. can reproduce @ libusb-1.0 calls device (tl500 temperature logger).

correct in assuming issue dwc_otg module , not addressed until dwc_otg module replaced 1 ehci compliant?
or missing , more incompetent programmer thought?
