i new user to rpi , don't use c @ forgive me not understanding example code.
however, did simple thing led asking about, used library rpi called wiringpi designed drive gpio pins , followed simple tutorial on wiringpi website:
first installed using directions on page, first part, didn't need "older" way mentions:
