Port conflict with max/msp

hello.

i trying communicate arduino max/msp.
just sending pin number message sent from.

i using simplemessagesystem library.
i did many times, don't know happen arduino diecimila.
when launch max , set right port, arduino quit , stop working....

so quit max, re-plug arduino , launch max same thing happen.
it's there port conflict between both of them.

any idea, can come from?
